Gypsy (Blogophilia 32.5)

Gypsy woman
Looks deep
Into the woman's eyes
Saying nothing.

Is it real?
Or the image
Of  tea leaves,
Spoonful of sugar?

The image of a train
Appears to the woman.
"All Aboard!
The conductor intones.

Which way does it go?
Ecstasy or tears?
Love or hate?
To tell the truth
it is unknown.

Gypsy fades from sight
As she climbs aboard
To another world,
Another life.

  5. Ah, this is just wonderful! So true, with every life change and decision there is a certain amount of risk. I just love the direction you took this week, and that you wrote a poem to boot!!! :D

    1. The original idea was a story, but I just couldn't get it to jell. So, I fell back to four line stanzas.

    1. It's the tea leaves. They are supposed to be bearers of the future.

      Kind of fun, though.
