Frogs

I sit
Silent witness to romance.
To joy and heartache.
The Princesses come alone,
And with their betrothed.
 I bet they were ugly
When they were frogs.

  1. Awesome! You know, that frog felt kind of whimsical, but your poem really gives the location a better meaning. I don't doubt that many wedding parties have come to that site, and exchange their vows. Thank you for such a wonderful addition to the collaboration... :) -David II

  2. you made the location feel real...
filling it with romance and doubt and humorous intent in such a short ode...

    1. When Dave invited me, I had to go back through the photo album to find one that worked. This one did.

    1. It was the best way to match image and verse. As soon as I saw the frog, it had to be written.
