Another week.
Another deadline.
I get a note from Micro$oft to try their new "CoPilot" artificial intelligence feature.
Oh, why not. I'm lazy.
Certainly! Here’s a short story about resurrection and angels:
In the ethereal realm of light and serenity, where angels dwell in harmonious eternity, there was a tale whispered among the celestial beings—a tale of a mortal who defied the finality of death.
The Resurrection of Aeliana
In the mortal world, there was a young woman named Aeliana, whose heart was as pure as the first snowfall. Her kindness was a beacon of hope in her village, and her laughter was a melody that even the angels envied.
One fateful night, a shadow crept into the village, a sickness that spread like wildfire, claiming many, including Aeliana. As she lay on her deathbed, her spirit called out, not for salvation for herself, but for the healing of her people.
In the heavens above, an angel named Seraphiel heard her selfless plea. Moved by her compassion, Seraphiel descended to the mortal realm, a figure of radiant light amidst the darkness of despair.
Seraphiel, with a touch as gentle as a feather’s caress, granted Aeliana the breath of life once more. The villagers awoke the next morning to find their beloved Aeliana standing in the midst of them, her eyes shining with an otherworldly light.
From that day forth, Aeliana was known as the Resurrected, a living testament to the power of selfless love and the mercy of the angels. And Seraphiel, whose existence was once a myth, became the guardian angel of the village, watching over them from the veil between worlds.
And so, the story of Aeliana’s resurrection became a legend, a beacon of hope that even in the darkest of times, there are angels listening, and miracles waiting to unfold.
I hope you enjoyed this tale of hope and celestial wonder. If you have any other requests or need further stories, feel free to ask! 📖✨
Not my style of writing, honestly. Now, I could spend an hour or two editing to make it sound more like me. But that would take away time from me going up the country hiking. Will I use it again? Nah.

Very interesting! I have not used AI in fear that it will prove itself smarter than me (I?) Nice Blog!
ReplyDeleteAt least at this point, it reminds me of a 9th grade English paper written the night before.
DeleteHoly Alien Intelligence! It is a little scary what AI can produce, sometimes it's impressive. Other times, meh. I daresay your witty and classic writing skills far exceed Copilot's attempts. But you got some extra hiking in, that's a good thing. KUDOS Earthling!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sir.
Deletethank you for posting this. I had no idea what Co-pilot was or how it worked. So now we writers don't even have to write our own stories anymore??? That's intolerable! It is amazing....but intolerable. I refuse to be replaced!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt just sloppy. I suppose if I were in a hurry it might be fun. But not really.
