Off the Cuff (Blogophilia 25.5)

In the news
Are the wuthering lows
Of hate
Destruction
And perdition.

Not coming out
Of my shell
Once Bitten
More than once
Has made me shy.

The nurse doing intake
Asks my name
Confirms my birthdate
And asks
Why I am here.

I cracked, you see
Lashing out
At the hate and anger
With what they understand

The same.

  3. With all the violence around, this seemed to fit. I'm working on a short story with the same theme.

  4. Powerful write. Yes the theme is addictive somehow. You handle it well, better than I could

  5. I understand this very powerful write. What I don't understand is the violence that surrounds all of us that would cause such a write to be written. Well done Sir! 8 points Earthling! :)

  7. violence is a powerful force within us all..., its our basic instincts to protect and get our own way... to make it the norm so the outsiders understand you better!.... is that a form of distraction from the way you actually feel deep inside?... brilliant write ... makes one think deeply!!
