Frogs
I sit
Silent witness to romance.
To joy and heartache.
The Princesses come alone,
And with their betrothed.
I bet they were ugly
When they were frogs.

Awesome! You know, that frog felt kind of whimsical, but your poem really gives the location a better meaning. I don't doubt that many wedding parties have come to that site, and exchange their vows. Thank you for such a wonderful addition to the collaboration... :) -David II
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome.
DeleteThis is wonderful. I always love a short poem if it gets the message across. This one did.

ReplyDeleteHeartwarming and poignant.... from the eyes of the lonely stone frog. I love this!
ReplyDeleteWhen Dave invited me, I had to go back through the photo album to find one that worked. This one did.
DeleteDo you ever wake up with bullfrogs on your mind?
ReplyDeleteI do.
If my windows are open, yes.
Deleteoh you posted your David post - I didn't know if I would post mine or not. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteIt was the best way to match image and verse. As soon as I saw the frog, it had to be written.
