Trash

Trash Litter on the side of the road. Tossed out. Under the California palms You came By any way the wind blew A train wreck. Now lifeless and bloody In the bed of a truck. Your talents are gone Taken away by your own Weaknesses and wants A Tabula Rasa Vanished in the mist.

Reunion

The call had come in the middle of the night.     No sleep since then.   No amount of coffee could clear his thoughts.   They really had been found.     Had he taken a shower?    Hair is wet.   He must have. Clothing came to life and found its way on to his body.     The echo of what the social worker had said seemed to reverberate throughout the room. What was her name?   Harris?     She asked if he had anyone that could be with him.   No.   He came here to get away from people.    Away from the accusations and pain.   He thought he was healing, but now the scabs were going to get ripped off again. Drifting from room to room, he found the few mementos that had survived.    A small toy bear.   The truck that he used trip over at night.     The only icons left.   He was surprised, when they let him keep those.   Cops, jail, court and freedom all mixed...

Fur Elise

The piano sat in the corner. She approached it with no illusions.  She knew why she was here.  First the music, then the music of a different sort.  He paid well.  And it helped he was quite fit and handsome.  As her hands stretched in anticipation, she remembered the first time she had done this.  She gave herself to her patron and suitor.  The scent of his lavender and sweat as he joined her on the bench.  A gentle brush against her hair as she turned to his mouth.  All the rest is a blur of pain and pleasure.  And when they had finished, he pressed warm towels against her soreness.  And her path was set. New Blog. New Day.

So Here We Are (GBE 2, #33)

Work.... The first frontier. What we put up with on a daily basis. The petty jealousies and overt whining. Trying to do the tasks assigned. Every day I go to the office with my To Do list all ready, fueled by a pot of coffee.  The office is always empty.  Everyone else drags in when they can.  I find I get much more work when I don't have to listen to everyone else whine.  I answer my emails and prepare my responses to my clients. Then I sit back and listen. "I don't see how they expect us to to do this." "Too much work.  Too many changes." I've heard it all before. Guess what?  If those people had just sat down and did the task, they'd be done by now. It really is annoying.
